In line with the celebration of World Mental Health Day 2022, the Provincial Government of Bataan, through the Bataan Youth Development Office, conducted a seminar highlighting the various mental health issues that need attention and treatment dubbed as the Malasakit Kabataan Project at The Bunker yesterday, October 11.
With the Provincial Health Office, Mariveles Mental Wellness and General Hospital, 1KaBataan, Zero Kilometro, and BPSU Psychology Society as partner organizations, activities and interactive booths were available for the participants from various youth and youth-serving organizations.
Some of the event highlights were Information and Interactive Booths, Mental Health Awareness Testimonies, Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale Survey (DASS-21), Psychological First Aid, and the official Relaunching of Zero Kilometro Covid-19 Response which are all anchored on the theme “Make Mental Health & Wellbeing for All a Global Priority”.
BYD Officer Meynard Reyes said that their office aims to further ensure mental health and well-being, especially for the youth, and revealed that the next phase of the Malasakit Kabataan Project is to establish “kumustahan sessions” with interested youth in Bataan.
